East Region
Word on the streets is that on Saturday in the East Region they moved the vault indoors due to "excessive wind conditions"!!! Anyone know the deal with this?

Say What!!!
You have got to be kidding!! I thought all venue's had to be the same. At the Mid-West, most of the vaulters had to jump with the wind socks at each end of the runway pointing at each other!!! Just look at all of the NH's. So much for equal!!!

I never heard my head coach express any strong feelings about regionals until now...
"Overall, we're still not in favor of the regional concept, but I'm really proud of the way we competed," Georgia head coach Wayne Norton said. "It was a very tough meet with rain delays and to do this many events in two days is very tough on the athletes. I think we competed well and I'm happy with the way we finished up as far as the team placing. We're looking forward to getting some rest before we go to the NCAA Championships."

Our student trainer that went, says both guys and girls were outside the whole time.
And he says it did not start to rain until Sat at 2, pouring by 7. Windy all day.
