i'm gonna have to say the West will be the hardest region to qualify. First off you got all the Pac 10 guys, Walker 5.80, Woods 5.50, Grijalva 5.37, Mortensen 5.36, Opalkla 5.33, Kim 5.30 not to mention about 10 more 17+ footers. Then throw Litchfield 5.50 and the BYU vaulters, Powell 5.36, Kemp 5.36, Rassmunson 5.30, and throw in Giovanni Lanaro 5.41 at Cal State Fullerton. Although i'm sure i left out a few names, thats a damn lot of people over 5.30 fighting for not many spots at NC's. gonna be a dog fight.

The West is almost always the toughest Region. The other Regions tend to have a couple of guys pop good heights through the year, but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty (NCAA's) the West is always the strongest.
