Perhaps I am missing something - but how does a guy with three fails beat a guy with none when both have jumped the same height?

The X's and O's in the original post are incomplete. There is a second page. Walsh had more misses early but cleared 5.35 on his first attempt. King cleared 5.35 on his third attempt. Here is the link to the results.
