I don't know about without a pole, but with a pole, I'd have to say that Jeremy Scott is pretty darn fast. The guy doesn't move his legs as fast as some people, but he eats up the ground like it's his job.

i think i've seen faster. there a couple vaulters in my area that blaze down the runway and then blaze down the track.

Well geese, then I'm slow as crap... Jeremy Scott is faster than me. But that's probably why he vaults 18'8'' and I vault 17'6''

yea john ur the slowest vaulter EVER. it takes u the whole 2 mins just to get down the runway :D

u know ur okay with the speed, u came from a 'family' of speed. if its one thing u should have learned from me is BLAZING SPEED.

I don't know of the other NCAA'ers out there, but Fairbanks consistently hits in the 9.4-9.8 meters/second range from 16 steps, and has hit 10.0 meters/second on a run through - going a little too fast to plant that one.

the fastest vaulter ever is jim demarco from akron! he runs at least 11.45 fat! at least thats what i timed him running from the cops while being involved with his dads mafia.
