Everyone NOT ranked

Unread postby wacky274 » Wed Feb 04, 2004 2:12 am

Just wondering how everyone who isnt in the magical top twelve of trackwire has been doing? Consistency wise, etc. How many meets, how many steps, same old same old, just kinda curious.
Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them-a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill. - Muhammad Ali

Talent in cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.

I'm consistant with 11'6"...ALL THE DAMN TIME...lol...on my 13'155 from 6 lefts...

Coach Hoogasian had me moved back to 7 lefts yesterday at practice (first time I have ever did 7 lefts, but it's about time...lol)...and I was over 12' by atleast 3/4 of a foot...WOOT

I was using a 14'145, grip around 12'9"...7 lefts...now I'm even more anxious for the meet on Saturday...mwahahah! I better not mess up like I did last week...hehe...last week I got my DAMNED 11'6" AGAIN! lol...I'm getting sick of this height...

lets see
8 lefts
1) 17' 6" on a 4.90/ 16.7 gripping 15' 1-3-04
2) 5.40m~ 17' 8.5" on a 5.00/16.4 gripping 15'3" 1-10-04
3) 5.30m~ 17' 4.5" on 4.90/16.7 gripping 15' 1-17-04

I've taken the last couple of weeks off to recover from a dislocated thumb, but feel ready to pick up where I left off. I have two more meets on my schedule, so we'll see how they go.

So adding to the list,
4)5.45m~ 17'10.5" on a 5.00/17.0 gripping 15'5" 2-7-04

I'm not in the magic top 12 and I am competing in my last NCAA Division 1 indoor season. I think it's cause I choked at Indoor and Outdoor Champs.

2003 PR's: Indoor= 5.50m or 18'0.5"...Outdoor= 5.45 or 17' 10.75"

2004 Meets
1) Reno: 5m or 16'5"
2) Poci: 16'6"
3) Boise: 5.20m or 17' 0.75"
4) Poci: 5.35m or 17' 6.5"
5) Poci: Open 16'7" Hep 5.30m or 17' 4"

Haven't jumped super high yet, but at least I am getting better as the season goes, instead of worse like I did last year, that sucked.
