hey i was just wondering like what's the difference between a division 1 A and a division 1 AA - i tried searching the site but couldn't find anything - Thanks

There are many factors and school size isn't one of them. It's based on number of sports offered, # of football scholarships, average home attendance, etc. The University of Miami (FL) has only like 6,000 students. Rice may be the smallest DI-A with 1,500 students. Then you have really large DIAA schools like Texas State with 26,000 students which is larger in population than all but around 20 DI schools.
