you could train with them if they let you, but you have to be enrolled at a college to vault for them.

Most big schools will not let anyone train with them who is not on the team. Sometimes alumni or post-collegiate athletes kind of do, but I've never seen a school take a freshman who isn't good enough to make the team and let them practice with them. It's a huge liability issue.
