I know but I would love to see them jumping head to head at NCAAs!

Me to, since Skipper jumped higher than everyone at nationals within a couple days of the competition. Wasn't it the lowest since that big tall skinny guy won nationals?

Maybe we should post a link of favorite Spencer Stephens stories. There would be some pretty cool stuff on it. LOL

where did scott transfer to? is walker really going to use up his eligibility? i agree with Chris's statement that they dont really need to be in school. the only reason that i see for using up eligibility after your 4 years of college are over is if you still dont have the required courses to graduate. especially if you are on the level of a professional.

on a side note i witnessed the first division 3 18' jump when i went to nationals indoors my freshman year. jeremy brought 2 poles to the meet and ran from only 12 strides. it was quite a feet to practically straight-pole 18.
i had a poor meet and only managed 14-6. i still cant believe that someone at that meet beat me by 3.5 feet. the next year at indoors scott went to the world championships and was injured outdoors i guess.

oh yeah, and if you are counting d3 returners. hans schmidt from wisconsin-lacrosse jumped 5.35 last year and has junior eligibility this season. division 3 has three returning vaulters that jumped >17 last year.

Jermey didn't transfer to anywhere, he graduated from Alergany and is pursuing his masters at the University of Arkansas where his girlfriend attends school. He is just gonna use up his last year of outdoor eligibility that he missed with the injury last year. LB

that makes sense, if I were him i'd do the same thing. but i dont want him to do it, the number one reason is that he would be in my region which would make thing a bit hard for me and all my mid-east buddies.

Unless something changed recently that no one told me about, Brad is in school and is using his last indoor season he has left. He might as well, it will be good training, and it is not like outdoors where he'd have to worry about jumping at Pac-10s, Regionals, and NCAAs right before the Trials.

Chris,
Jermey will not be in your region this year, Arkansas moves to the Mid West if I'm not mistaken. LB

Walker will be back to finish this year. He is healthy and is looking forward to the indoor season, with more new pr's.
