Vaulting and Majors

Unread postby bvpv07 » Mon Feb 28, 2005 2:19 am

Since academics is a really big consideration when choosing a college, I was wondering if there are any schools out there that offer both a good vaulting program and a good department for a student looking to major in biology?

I don't think you'd want to rank WashU in there, Div III sports...great for bio, but if you're really wanting a good track program, I don't know if that's what you'd want...good luck getting in with that one, and paying for it :dazed: 40k? yeah...tried that one...

speaking of majors...i find it rather funny...JR knows what I'm talking about...two of the pole vaulters at rolla are majoring in aerospace engineering... :-D (lol, don't know if he's one of them though)

University of Washington

University of Washington has both a great pole vault program for men and women, as well as being a great school for the sciences...including biology.

Troy University had a good biology program, but the vault program isn't as hot. :(

Here's another question: Is anyone here majoring or has majored in bio and is having/has had a good experience with it and vaulting at their school?

Well, i was accpeted in to USC, but seeing i am from the east coast, money was tight (almost 40g a yaer) . They def have a good track program, and their bio and pre-med is very good (my cousin goes there).
