Roy sloppy is right about his uncle's place, good food. He's also a geat guy. Don't forget Hoover's also, great home cooking just east of the stadium,
compete and jump safe, have fun

One can get good eats just about anywhere. Watching the sun set over Lake Travis (like one can do at the Iguana or the Oasis) is another story . . .

So I am sitting in Lon's hotel room... the meet has been delayed delayed delayed. It was raining off and on during warmups. The meet started and a lot of people cleared. I think there's maybe only one girl out so far, but a number of people have misses and have not cleared yet.

It finally started raining hard enough that they delayed it. The rain eased up a bit and they were drying off the runways and getting the pits ready... suddenly a HUGE bolt of lightning hit near the track!!

They evacuated all of the athletes and fans from the stadium. Last I heard the pole vault has been postponed until 9pm tonight. I'll stick it out... I gotta see what happens in person :)
