My coach purchases the Essex poles and I don't like them at all.
I want to get a 16' 175-180 with a 15-17 flex.

I like UCS poles better but I wouldn't mind having a carbon pacer.

Where is the best place to order the pole - maybe online or through a catalog?

Call UCS/Spirit or Gill (the manufacturer of Pacer poles) directly and they can either tell you the nearest dealer or sell you one directly. The cheapest is if you can find someone locally that has one that size in stock, but most dealers don't stock poles that big.
