Jessieville Jr. High Invite
Jessieville, AR
Caddo Hills Freshman, Matthew Standridge, got a huge PR today with a leap of 14'08". Several things about this feat are impressive to me:
- By age, he's supposed to be an 8th grader.
- There was a nice tailwind and the biggest pole in the bag was an Altius 14'3" 16.9 flex.
- He had to short run (5 lefts) to keep from blowing through and he was only holding 13'4".
- This was the first time he's jumped outdoors since April.
- This is the 2nd highest mark by an Arkansas freshman (highest was Sam Ewing 15'07") Sam is Matthew's cousin.
