What's the deal for Junior Pan Am Games. I know senior Pan Am Games are in Dominican Republic, but what about Junior Pan Am Games? Are they even being held this year? How many slots are there on the team? What's the minimum height? When are the games held? Does anyone know of a JUNIOR Pan Am Games website? USATF does a absolutely HORRID job of addressing this issue on their website. Any and all information about the Junior Pan Am Games would be very helpful. Also if anyone has attended and wants to tell what the competition etc is like that'd be great. Thanks

Well, well, well, They are going to select the team for Pan Am Games from Jr. Nationals.... boy they'll have a big field to choose from...what if they all no-height?

Penn State's Holston named to U.S. Junior Pan Am coaching staff State College, Pa., Dec. 20, 2002 - Penn State assistant track and field coach Dayna Holston was named to the United States Junior Pan American Games coaching staff at the annual U.S. Track and Field Coaches Association meeting in Kansas City, Mo.
Holston, who has coached the throwers at Penn State since 1996, will take on her first national team coaching assignment as part of a six member U.S. women's staff for the games held for athletes ages 19 and under. She will guide the throwers on the team which will compete in Barbados, July 17-19. Competing athletes will be selected following competition at the U.S. Junior Nationals held at Stanford, June 19-22.

Holston has guided numerous All-Americans and school record holders, including current Nittany Lion standout Deshaya Williams who won a Junior Pan American Championship and a Big Ten title in the discus in 1999.
