At the Nevada State Track and Field Meet earlier today at Del Sol HS, Las Vegas, Cameron Kroll from Reno set the Nevada State record for pole vault again, getting a new personal record of 17'. After clearing it on his first try (I think it was), he went for 17'5", but was not able to clear it successfully.
I just wanted to say that it was amazing to see somebody jump that high up close and personal (I was doing standards and catching poles). I don't have all the specifics, but I'm sure CoachT will have them up when he gets home with the log.
Great job, Cameron!

He must either be small, or has elite level form in which he loses close to no energy. Either way, jumping 17' is 17' no matter what pole you are on. Its still bigger than the poles im on!

Yeah, the one thing I noticed while watching him was how much faster he ran than everybody else and his double leg swing.
