None in the US that I've ever heard of. Samantha Shepard was probably the closest, with like 12'0+ in the 8th grade. Don't know for sure, but Gus would.

Roger Ruth would probably know internationally - I bet there are some German girls who have come close!

For girls, it's good enough to set the goal to jump your grade! 9, 10, 11, 12..... this is more realistic :)

hahaha i did the same thing at first.. i was liek wat. does some vaulter have an extra springy 6th toe or something!? haha

Having a 9 double wide is kinda like a 6th toe, but its hard to find shoes

Way to go Travis. My son Josh Day (Alabama) vaulted w/ you in Des Moines AAU. He is in the 8th grade and has vaulted 11'6" already. He has already turned 14. He hopes to get 13' this year. Hope you do get 15'. Keep up the good work. Also, keep posting your progress.

Have Josh keep an eye on the "National Elite Youth Ranknig System". That might help him get to 13'. It was a good motivator for us last year especially in meets where your competition is a bunch of 7 & 8 footers.
