Now that the season is winding down....

How did everyone do this season? I know some of you have CIF left but still how did you do this time around? This is my first year vaulting and even then I started to vault three days before the fourth meet of the season so I really have been vaultng for about 2 months. That said I cleared 10' which isn't great but I am still pretty proud. I caught up with our worst Varsity vaulter who has been doing it for 2 years so I am pretty happy. How about everyone else?

Ive been slowly moving up all year at the begining I was at about 11 now I am at 14 and still going up, peaking just in time for cif. I guess I would be considered varsity for my team but Im only a sophmor. There are only two vaulters on my team me and another guy doing9'6" its his first year.
last year it was only me.

I did okay this season, but we still have a bunch of meets left. Technically I've only been vaulting for about 2 weeks and have cleared 7'0" but as we didn't get our pit back until like yesterday, I consider that a pretty good accomplishment. :D

Is that a lead in to a who's poles are bigger punch line - I am looking to PR this summer (lifetime PR) at the yound age of 48 - amazing what good coaching can do - for HS kids - vault in meets all summer if possible - many local USATF meets and Masters meets are available - hunt them down - vaulting is a repetition activity -

Hey a personal record lifetime? Man that is wonderful! Good coaching the right size pole it works doesn’t.

Good luck to you.

What meets will you be attending so the vaulters can maybe meet you?

My best of 15'8" from Freshman in College CMSU Warrensburg MO is far from being matched by me again. :D

Good Luck
If I am at any of the meets you are at, I will catch your step, catch the pole, and give you the visuals playbacks ,but as far as competition? I think you will smoke me :crying:
