I've been strugling trying to find a way to break vaulters up in groups. I just don't have enough time me thinks. As in the past, I can only be there on tues. for a practice, thur. for meets, and I hold an open practice on Saturdays. How did you set 3 different schedules. After they get done with a team warm up and meeting I've typically only have an hour to practice with them. Plus when you have some kids that do other events the time limitaion is worse.
I the best thing I've come up with (unless anyone wants to volenteer to be the asst. pole vault coach at burlington-Edison

), is to have my most experienced vaulter, Courtney, take eveyone else that is also experienced and have them do drills while I spend the first week or so getting the newbies up to speed with pole runs, plant drills etc.... The only thing I'm wondering about (since I'm going to have vaulters from three high schools together) is that would mean putting Courtney, a junior, incharge of coaching her major competition in the league from anacortes who is a senior. I know Courtney would not have the least bit of problem with it. I don't know the Anacortes vaulter well enough to say if it would be a problem. I just realize that this is not the ideal situation and there is the potential for conflict.
