You can help Barlow High School

Unread postby rainbowgirl28 » Thu Nov 17, 2011 3:00 pm

I have a plea as a high school coach working my butt off to remain fiscally strong amidst the myriad of budget cute we are facing in our schools. Our program at Barlow saw our Pole Vault pits (already way past the age of safe usage) get vandalized and rendered unusable. We're trying to fundraise through sponsors and grants to get the additional $8000-$10,000 we need to replace our pits. We have signed up for a grant through Liberty Mutual/Responsible Sports at this website (http://www.responsiblesports.com/commun ... fault.aspx) in an effort to close the financial gap. But going to this website, taking the short quiz and crediting Barlow Track and Field (about 10-minutes) we could win one of 20 grants. We will likely need at least 250-300 people to do this to win over the next 2 weeks. Thank you for your help and support for my program and track and field at the high school level.

I completed the survey, and forwarded the info to all the other coaches from Summit HS in Bend, asking them to do the same. Hope your team wins the grant!

Good luck, happy holidays

Tom
