How many competitors allowed in your state?

In Louisiana only two per event, per school. That's for any meet,
regular season or state qualifying. Any state is different ?
If so , how?

duals, I;ve seen like 15 from one school for JV and F/S. but varsity its normally 2-4 people each school at duals. For county, its 2 per school, no matter the heights. For the road to state with CIF in California, it's how ever many people can make the heights and places to keep going...

In Ohio there are no rules about how many kids are in dual meets. Invites are usually limited to two athletes per event per school. Relays obviously can have three. As for the road to the state meet. Only two from each school can go to districts ergo at max two can go to states.

Washington sets no limits. Most invites have limits, either a qualifying standard or a certain number from each school. Each League decides how many athletes can compete at their Championships. Usually there is not a hard limit for each school if the athletes are ranked high enough in their League or if they meet some sort of qualifying standard.

In Arkansas, there is no limit to the number of kids you qualify for an event. We have an automatic qualifying standard set up for each classification based on third place average over the past five years.

Depending on the conference, we can qualify up to four as long as they place in the top six.

We never have meets where less than 3-4 can compete. Most early season meets we can have as many entries as we want. The only meet that bothers me is our section state qualifying meet where we are limited to 3 entries only. In 2005 I have 3 athletes who already made the state auto standard. What if I had a 4th?

I think most conferences in MIchigan allow 4 in varisty duels, unlimited JV's. Invites are usually limited to 2-3 for times sake. Regionals you are gauranteed 2 plus anyone who jumps the qualifier. Then States take top two from each region plus anyone jumping the finals qualifier.

In Oklahoma 3 is the limit at conference, regionials, and state. During the regular season meets no limit.

This info is a big help I'm thinking about getting our principle to propose
raising the limits that a school can enter and advance through the state
qualifying process. I like the idea of 2 plus any that meet a qualifying mark.
Seems like a system designed for kids should have something in place to
reward all the kids in a school that work hard through out the season, not
just 2.

In Texas we are allowed 3 per event. Most invitational and even at our district they allowed my school to enter 4 JV vaulters but #4 could not score any points. The top 3 from each district will go to regionals and the top 2 from each region go to state. We have 5 classifications, A-5A, and each classifications has 32 districts.
