If I get a 14'6 145 and I end up having no trouble whatsoever and then very soon being able to use a 15' pole, it would almost be a waste of money. If I start with a 15' 145 and make it, great. If I ca...

Re: Brad Hollowell raises the bar (MD)
I remember vaulting against him at regionals once. He came in WAYYYYYY too low and the wind kept blowing his pole into the bar. He cleared like 14'6 that day but came in at 10 or 11. It was pretty funny to watch

Re: Help. I haven't PRed in 4 seasons and I'm tired of it.
The problem is, that's the only pole my weight. I can't switch poles bc I'm already on one that's 10lb over my weight and it's the smallest one the school has. The next smallest is 25lb over my weight and 12'6", not 11'. I wish I had all the resources college students did but I don't so I have...

Re: first time on a 14' pole
I went straight from a 12'6 to a 14', but my 12'6 was 160 and the 14' was 140. I pr'd by 15 inches on that glorious day.

6 stride checkmark question
What exactly is the 6 stride check mark referring to? The distance of a 3step? The midway point of a 6 step approach run?

Advice on extending
When i vault i get pretty vertical but i dont drop my shoulders and extend off the top of my pole. I sort of swing up to the bar and turn over it. What can i do to work on this? Also, how does being inside affect ones vault? I seem to be consistently 3-6 inches inside where i should be. I still get ...
