I get the benefits of pushing a pole but what do you do if there is a lip on the box? About half of the meets i go to have a lip on the front of the box and you could get roughed up by sliding the tip. don't worry about getting to 14 feet right now, I would suggest starting at 3 lefts and work on form and as you start getting through poles(depending on what your school has) move back a left and then it increases your speed and gets you to go slightly higher, then back up once you do well at that a...
