I am goin to a meet where we compete at 830 in the morn. would it be bad to drink coffee at like 630 that day to wake me up.

Everyone is always talking about getting the proper rest after lifting to let your muscles recover, but is it bad to do crunches/sit ups every day?

I've heard alot from my fellow teammates that pushups can do alot for upper body strength. Like doing regular, decline and decline diomands every night would really increase my upper body strength. What are all your oppinions on this.

I really want to increase my upper body strenth to help vaulting and so that i can actually start to look like an athlete. I like schools that have 6' inch marks all the way down the track. If you know your mark you can eyeball the 2 or 3 inches in between.
