i have a spirit pole that is fine except there is a crack running down from the top of the pole to the top of the pink weight label. i found it on the ground in the shed cracked... maybe someone stepped on it or something. can i still jump on this pole?

for summer track at my school , there are some upcoming freshmen that wanna try pole vaulting, but we don't have a coach so i have to teach them. i've vaulted for 2 years but i was wondering what is like the basic order of things to teach.
