IF two vaulters jump the same height and can go no further, then the one who jumped the highest on the fewest attempts wins. But for instance lest say that both of these vaulters cleared that height on their first attempts, then the winner is the person who took the fewest total jumps in the compete...

Gunther probably says that you can go up by 3 inches after that because if you are the last vaulter left with no one else competing, then you can put the bar at whatever you want. But with multiple competitors in the meet th...

Thats all about preference. I personally would much rather be jumping outdoors on a sunny day than stuck in a gym facility when everyone else competes outdoors. My best so far this season is 14 feet in a dual meet; I've only jumped in one championship meet so far this April because of bad weather/poor officiating. I didnt qualify for Penn Relays so my first real meet of the season isnt until Bernardsville Invitational in NJ on May 7th. Great Senior Season!!...

I was 7th in the meet last year with 13'6 but that was because there was thunderstorms as the bar went to 14 and hardly anyone cleared opening heights. I will most likely be going down again this year, (knock on wood) as long as I can get past the group IV meet without a big meltdown. Usually its go...
