I think vaulters are good gymnasts with great speed. Have you ever seen a week gymnast? Work on your speed and your gymanstic strength and you will see big improvements. What good is weightroom strength without coordination? Don't get me wrong the weightroom has its place, I just don't think it shou...

treadmill is ok for endurance, so you can take more vaults in a competition or practice, but your original concern was speed. You need to do drills that require explosive movement and explosive motion calling on your fast twitch muscle fibers. Slow movements in training = slow movemnents when compet...

Any chance on an all Bubka DVD in the future? I have always used his technique as my perfect vault example, yet his footage and photos are not easy to come by. I would think with his name, status, celebrity he could cash in and help the vault community at the same time. Does he need a better agent? ...

MIZUNO'S! They have a huge rocker to help you jump. You may want to consider the TJ spikes if you heel strike at takeoff. If your foot is narrow get nike, I like the width of the Mizuno's they don't kill my feet. Bottom line: buy what fits, If you can't try them on then go off someone else's advice.

If image weren't everything we'd all wear Mizuno LJ spikes. They were my favorite for two years until I wore them out and couldn't find em anywhere. They are lighter than the nikes and have alot more rocker. I PR'd in them and also in the LJ. I have nike LJ now and will go back to Mizuno when I buy ...

Nike is making the waffle racer, which in my opinion is the best non spike racing shoe on the market as far as the vault is concerned. I jumped 15' indoors in high school in a pair of these. They are a true spike with a rubber bottom and retail for about $45 and no I don't work for Nike. I actually ...

Bubka will sell for more right now. Issy will sell for more later as I believe she hasn't scratched the surface of her potential and will leave women chasing her legacy for years to come, much like Bubka. Besides she has that hotness thing going for her. Forget about the spikes I want a signed pictu...
