Title IX is there because in the past, colleges and high schools abused their authority and did not spend funds on womens sports. Even today there are a lot of colleges not in compliance...to the extent that girls basketball teams have to get o away games in their own cars and boys teams have buses....

San diego state coach is Rick Fox. His girls have jumped well for the last several years, with 14 footers the last 2 years. He has 5 to 8 vaulters (no men's track). They have an indoor season also. UC San Diego is a great location and competes in meets against the best in Cal and the Southwest. They...

Many of the schools do not participate in the Indoor seasons. Good and/or bad - Very little travel (mostly within the stat...

Depends on how far away you can stand being from home. BJ is right - take a look at the schools you interested in and let them know who you are. The options are numerous. Example - A girl we know just graduated from CAl Poly SLO and is leaving for Arkansas for their Graduate Program in PT. Most majo...

Seems that the longer the pole the more the technique needs to be spot on...so a longer pole will not solve the problems. That means a take off from farther out, not an easy thing to do...jump in the air when there is no pit under you...trust your speed (assuming you have enough) and pole bend to de...

The meet I was at was the prestigious Arcadia Meet in So cal. The judges put a bathrrom scale on the grass and then DQ'd about 5 poles. As to getting on a smaller or heavier pole...easier said than done, depending on experience and pole availability. The bigger the pole the harder to find - if you a...
